Geraldine Sculpture Trail
Track Description
The Sculpture trail includes four tracks, taking you through Talbot Forest, along Waihi River and around Geraldine Domain. The trail is beautiful in spring with rhododendrons and other flowers in full bloom. The trail is currently underdevelopment and at this stage sculptures can only be seen at Todd Park. Waihi River Trail
This trail follows the banks of the Waihi River, winding through a stretch of forest in Kennedy Park. This track is beautiful in spring with rhododendrons in full bloom between Todd Park and the town centre. The first sculptures on the trail can be viewed here.
Rhododendron Dell Trail
Stroll through the Rhododendron Dell, a peaceful trail with birdsong and a colourful backdrop in the spring. This is an easy short walk, with colourful backdrops of rhododendrons in the spring.
Talbot Forest Trail
Talbot Forest Reserve is the last remnant of an ancient podocarp forest. Walk the four short tracks through the native forest with kaihikatea, matai and tōtara.
Domain Trail
This track is an easy loop around the Geraldine Domain, a large open space with a children’s playground, Top 10 Holiday Park and adjacent community open air swimming pool. View the street art alongside the playground while you’re there.
